Personalised and trauma-informed therapeutic support for families in the heart of Albury-Wodonga.
Therapeutic services
I'm Lora Chapman-Monte- a social worker and counsellor who offers specialised therapeutic services with a focus on the impact of trauma on families. I integrate various modalities to provide effective, compassionate, and personalised care for your journey to well-being.
Maybe there are things you've never talked about that weigh you down. Perhaps there are parts of you that have had to be strong for too long? If you have experienced trauma in any of its many forms, and it continues to impact on your mental health, your relationships and your sense of self, it's likely you would benefit from counselling. I am very passionate about therapeutic support for people who are living with the implications of trauma. If you're ready to do the work and create positive change for yourself and the people you love, I'd love to work with you.
I see clients who are self-funding, as well as people who may wish to access sessions via the following:
-NSW Victims Services
-Victorian Victims assistance (FAS)
-National Redress Scheme
-Carer Gateway
-NDIS (self and plan managed)
-Access EAP and Acacia EAP (through your employer)
I'm committed to meeting each client exactly where they are. I offer a unique combination of therapeutic modalities, moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach. This personalised journey might include EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing), somatic practices like gentle stretching and breath work, narrative and life story exploration and mindfulness techniques. I use these holistic approaches alongside more traditional counselling methods, like solutions-focused and cognitive behavioural therapies.
